The film schedule is up and the Program Guides have been on sale since July 2nd.

Happy film watching!

Many of the great movies being shown at Fantasiafest were also screened at the New York Asian Film Festival this summer.

I blogged about them.

Please read.  You might get some insight into some of the movies you are interested in checking out.  You migh even enjoy reading it.

Just on the off chance anyone is still reading this community journal.

I'm told there's a Facebook group as well if that's your thing.

Well, this is not a terribly active LJ community but I figured I'd mention that FantAsia tickets are now on sale (as of about 30 minutes or so ago).

Go FantAsia!

1) The official Fantasia website is now featuring a splash screen announcing the lauch of the 2008 version of the website for June 26th.

2) The only programmation news (more like tidbit) I've seen so far is that Truffes, Kim Nguyen's 2nd feature film, will open the festival on July 3rd (source).

Can someone remind me - at the box office, do they take plastic, or only cash? The website doesn't say, and I can't remember from previous years...

I think this year's poster is really ugly compared to the previous years. A friggin rollercoaster? Are they trying to appeal to suburban families or what?

Also, a tidbit of info for Bell Mobility cell phone users: there's a note on the poster that if you text "FANTASIA" to number so-and-so you get a deal on tickets, well my friend did it and what they said was to go visit bell.ca/fantasia, which will only go online June 26th, and that there's a limit of 6 per Bell customer.
